Íride Martínez celebrated her 20th stage anniversary in 2014 and is an internationally successful soprano. La Scala, Covent Garden or Wiener Staatsoper are only a choice of the huge and famous stages she regularly appears on. The Costa Rican coloratura soprano Íride Martínez is part of the ensemble at Wiener Staatsoper at present.
Zerbinetta, Queen of the Night, Fiakermilli - Íride Martínez‘ repertoire is remarkable.Concerts with international well-known singers like Plácido Domingo and José Carreras are also part of her performances regularly.
Iride Martínez is the only Costa Rican singer who accomplished an international career, and she is not only working on her own success. With her foundation Jovenes Cantantes M.P. she helps young singers from Costa Rica to work internationally. She shares her knowledge with her students who dream to become as successful as herself.
